The goal of the Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville covered and refrigerated multifunctional ice rink project was to create a modern 25 m by 60 m sports facility, including an ice rink, sports fields and a park chalet. The new facility provides a multi-purpose venue for a variety of sports and recreational activities accessible all year round, while meeting sustainability and quality requirements.

Artelia was commissioned to provide material quality control and construction supervision. Our services covered the entire process, from the compactness of granular materials for foundations and coatings, to the quality of concrete for footings, walls and other structural elements, including the skating rink slab and park chalet. We also checked the asphalt mixes used for the grounds and paths, as well as the metal structure of the chalet, checking the verticality of the columns and the quality of the welds. In addition, laboratory tests were carried out on granular materials, hardened concrete and asphalt mixes to guarantee their conformity. Finally, our teams validated the certificates of conformity of the materials used and carried out regular inspections to ensure the quality of the work.
