A complete renovation ensuring universal accessibility.

The building of the René-Veillet Community Center, erected in 1972, had outdated facilities that no longer adequately met the needs of its users, and no longer complied with current universal accessibility standards. This renovation project has therefore given the Centre a new lease of life, making it a community facility accessible to all.

As part of this project, our experts carried out a complete interior refit, including upgrades to the electrical and mechanical installations, as well as spot repairs to the envelope, all with a view to energy efficiency and sustainable development. In addition, exterior improvements were carried out, including the modernization of lighting and the construction of an exterior access ramp to enable people with reduced mobility to enter the building in complete safety. The harmonious integration of vegetation between the ramp’s landings, achieved in collaboration with the City of Longueuil’s landscape architects, created a visual link with the adjacent park and public square.
