The City of Montreal has embarked on an ambitious project to modernize its traffic light systems to enhance user safety, improve the flow of public transit and optimize energy efficiency. This initiative is part of the city’s Transportation Plan, and includes the upgrading of 300 intersections across Montreal. One of the key elements of the project is the replacement of the old incandescent lights with LEDs, which will not only reduce energy consumption, but also improve visibility and safety at these intersections.
Mandated by the Ville de Montréal, Artelia, in collaboration with several contractors, took charge of the design, supervision and management of the work. The team drew up the plans for the traffic light redevelopment, coordinated the execution of the work and ensured compliance with the safety and quality standards imposed by the City. By supervising the entire project, we thus contributed to the sustainable modernization of Montreal’s road network, meeting expectations in terms of safety and efficiency for urban transportation.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
