The Ville de Mont-Tremblant, supplied with water from Lake Tremblant, needed to strengthen its water treatment system to guarantee the quality and safety of its drinking water in the face of environmental risks, notably blue-green algae. Although the water source is of exceptional quality, the existing chlorine disinfection system was not sufficient to ensure complete protection against cyanobacteria and their toxins. To meet these challenges, a project was launched to modernize and secure drinking water treatment for the population.

Artelia was commissioned to help the city update its drinking water treatment system. Our team supervised the preliminary study and pilot tests to evaluate the best solutions, while ensuring technology pre-selection and the development of plans and specifications. We also provided strategic support for funding applications and bid management. Throughout the project, we kept a close watch on the work, including approval of shop drawings and site supervision, ensuring that tight deadlines and quality deliverables were met, while maintaining essential services for the community.
