To reinforce the city of Trois-Rivières’ position as a must-see destination for large-scale events, Société Immobilière G3R has undertaken a major project in the heart of the downtown area: the renovation and expansion of the Delta Marriott Hotel and adjacent Convention Center. The project includes the modernization of the existing 150 rooms, the construction of a new 10-storey tower adding 65 additional rooms, and the expansion of the inter@ctif events and convention center (CECi), which will triple in size to 70,000 sq. ft. These improvements will increase capacity from 1,000 to 1,600 guests, positioning Trois-Rivières among the four largest convention centers in Quebec.

Commissioned for this ambitious project, our structural experts played a crucial role in the design and implementation of the work. We supervised the expansion of CECI, verified and reinforced the lateral load resistance system, and coordinated the partial demolition required for the hotel expansion. In addition, we added architectural elements and an aerial walkway linking CECI to the adjacent parking lot on the other side of Saint-Georges Street. Our team also provided technical support and rigorous supervision throughout the works, ensuring the success of this project, which repositioned Trois-Rivières as a leading destination for international conventions.
