As part of the ongoing improvement of its Port-Cartier port infrastructures, ArcelorMittal has undertaken the rehabilitation of docks 1, 2 and 3; Canada’s largest privately-owned seaport. The aim of the project was to maintain the safety of marine traffic, while extending the life of the docks by at least 50 years. One of the main challenges was to carry out all the work without interrupting port operations, while respecting environmental constraints and minimizing the impact on ship loading.
Mandated for this project, our team managed site supervision and construction coordination. We supervised safety, site access and coordination with the various subcontractors and trades. Our experts prepared technical specifications, proposed effective solutions, and ensured rigorous monitoring of the work to meet the client’s requirements. Thanks to an optimized intervention methodology, we ensured safe and environmentally-friendly rehabilitation, while guaranteeing the continuity of port operations.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
