Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), an oil joint venture between Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and Saudi Aramco, undertook the modernization of its telecommunications infrastructure to optimize its critical operations. The project aimed to deploy an OTN (Open Transport Network) transmission system at 12 strategic sites, including both onshore and offshore facilities. Utilizing the latest technological advances in fiber optic and microwave solutions, this initiative ensured robust, independent and continuous connectivity, supporting the transmission of voice, data, LAN and video between KJO’s business-critical applications.

Our team was commissioned to provide a turnkey solution, covering all phases of the project, from detailed engineering through to commissioning. Our experts carried out a feasibility study, managed the project, supplied the equipment and coordinated the factory tests (FAT) and on-site tests (SAT). We also ensured team training, maintenance and spare parts management, providing KJO with a reliable transmission infrastructure, ready to operate 24/7, to meet the growing demands of the oil industry.
