To strengthen its communications capabilities in a context of rapid population growth, Morocco’s Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale has awarded Artelia the contract to provide a national TETRA radio network in 14 of the country’s major cities. The system, specifically deployed for police security operations, is based on TETRA technology, renowned for its rapid call set-up, group communications and resistance to interception. In addition to guaranteeing secure communications, this solution integrates with existing networks such as ISDN and GSM, offering greater flexibility and efficiency to meet national security needs.

Our team was commissioned to carry out detailed network engineering, coverage studies, configuration and commissioning of TETRA equipment. By taking charge of infrastructure installation (transmission towers, microwave links) and integration of the UHF, VHF and HF networks, we ensured secure, seamless intercommunication between the various systems. We also provided comprehensive training, spare parts and technical support, guaranteeing Morocco a robust, modern national telecoms infrastructure that meets the security requirements of police forces.
