Our site supervisor, Frédéric Jean, had quite an experience on the Magdalen Islands, working on the rehabilitation of main road 199. Happy to be traveling to one of Quebec’s most beautiful regions for this mandate, Frédéric saw Hurricane Fiona hit the Islands with full force just a few weeks after work began.
For Frédéric, living through this violent storm was a truly remarkable experience. Above all, he was impressed by the resilience and mutual support of the residents, who worked together to restore peace and a degree of normalcy. After the hurricane, life on the Magdalen Islands quickly returned to normal. Work continued as planned, and on schedule.
