The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has selected Artelia as one of the qualified firms to carry out projects at the Port of Montreal over the next 5 years. Our multidisciplinary teams who will be working on the project welcomed the news with great enthusiasm.
A pivotal point in the Canadian and global economy, the Port of Montreal generates an impressive $2.7 billion in revenues every year, confirming its strategic role in international trade. With over 35 million tonnes of cargo handled annually, it ensures a constant flow of essential goods, including containerized goods, grain, petroleum products and various bulk commodities.
Connected to more than 140 countries, it is an essential commercial platform for North America, facilitating trade and strengthening the competitiveness of businesses. Several infrastructure modernization projects are planned over the next few years to support trade growth and improve the logistics chain, while minimizing the impact on the port’s day-to-day operations.
Thanks to this qualification, we are now entitled to bid on future MPA tenders, reinforcing our position as one of the key players in the engineering sector. This distinction enables us to put our expertise at the service of large-scale projects, covering the following five strategic disciplines:
With this new qualification, we hope that our commitment to innovation and excellence will drive us to exceed expectations and actively contribute to the development of MPA’s infrastructure and major projects.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
