Deployment of 40 New BIXI Stations: Artelia Supports the City of Montreal

This bike-sharing system offers nearly 13,000 bikes, including 2,600 electric bikes, distributed throughout Montreal and neighboring municipalities. Its usage continues to grow: year after year, ridership records are being set, and interest in the service continues to rise, both in summer and winter. Against this backdrop of expansion, adding stations allows us to better serve users and meet constantly evolving demand.

Drawing on its extensive experience, our team has already supervised nearly a hundred installations in other projects under a framework agreement with the City of Montreal. Our supervision team includes more than 12 experts in monitoring the compliance of intersections equipped with traffic lights, as well as in supervising electrical work such as lighting or charging stations for electric vehicles.

This new mandate further strengthens Artelia’s contribution to the rollout of the BIXI network and the development of sustainable mobility in Montreal.
