To better regulate the management of its natural environments, the City of Joliette has launched a structuring project aimed at developing a management, conservation and compensation plan adapted to its territory. Based on preliminary studies that had made it possible to characterize local ecosystems, this project aimed to provide the municipality with concrete tools and guidelines to support decision-making in terms of development and preservation of natural environments.
Artelia has been mandated to design this strategic plan. Our experts analyzed data from biological inventories to produce detailed maps of the ecological components of interest. Based on these analyses, we have made specific recommendations for the management, conservation and, if necessary, compensation of natural environments. These measures ensure that the City has a balanced approach between the protection of biodiversity and the sustainable development of its territory.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
