Every year, the Commission des services électriques de Montréal (CSEM) undertakes major reconstruction work on duct banks and access shafts throughout the city. This work, essential for infrastructure maintenance, must be carried out while minimizing disruption to road users. It was against this backdrop that Artelia was commissioned to design and supervise the maintenance of traffic flow and the management of impacts, thus guaranteeing safe and fluid mobility during the execution of the works.

Mandated by the CSEM, the Artelia team ensured rigorous traffic management by developing signage plans, coordinating mitigation measures and working closely with stakeholders, including the City of Montreal and the STM. Our team also supervised the smooth progress of work in the field, ensuring user safety while optimizing site phasing in high-visibility, high-traffic areas.
