The electrification of transportation is an essential part of the City of Montreal’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. It also represents one of the pillars of the green economic recovery promoted by its recovery plan. The installation of electric vehicle charging stations to facilitate access to recharging at various locations around the city will increase and diversify the electric transportation offer, developing more options for sustainable, affordable and accessible mobility.

Our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team was commissioned to develop concepts for the standardization of electric vehicle charging station layouts, as well as for the design of 10 non-standard sites. Thanks to our expertise in ITS and our close collaboration with the City of Montreal, our team was able to bring this project to a successful conclusion, taking into account various aspects to ensure harmonious integration of the charging stations into the urban environment, while meeting the City’s specific requirements.
