The Société ferroviaire et portuaire de Pointe-Noire (SFPPN) in Sept-Îles has embarked on a major project to increase its freight capacity with the construction of a new 800-metre conveyor. This conveyor, capable of transporting 8,000 metric tons per hour, links SFPPN’s existing facilities to the ship-loading facilities at the Port of Sept-Îles. To complete this project, modifications were made to the existing transfer tower, and a new tower was added to the port, underlining the importance of this infrastructure in supporting the export of natural resources.

Mandated to carry out this project, our team ensured meticulous planning from the outset, optimizing resources within an accelerated “fast track” schedule. We took charge of engineering, plan design, procurement and contract management, as well as construction supervision. Thanks to rigorous coordination and weekly meetings, we were able to meet quality, cost and schedule objectives. This project is a good example of our ability to build complex infrastructures while meeting our clients’ needs with efficiency and precision.
