Located in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough of Montreal, the project involved refurbishing the level crossing on Gouin Boulevard West, on the Deux-Montagnes commuter train line. Over a length of some 40 meters, the work involved demolishing the existing infrastructure, rebuilding the road approaches, laying new rails and sleepers, and restoring the site. The project, carried out over a very short period of time, was part of the Agence métropolitaine de transport’s (AMT) efforts to modernize its rail infrastructure while ensuring the safety and fluidity of travel.

Mandated to supervise the work, our team was on site to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, quality of materials and proper execution of work. In addition to technical monitoring, we contributed to the coordination of stakeholders and supported AMT with our recommendations in the field. Thanks to our rigorous, collaborative approach, we were able to efficiently carry out this project in a constrained, highly standardized context.
