Located on the Saint-François River near Weedon, the Weedon hydroelectric power station is a major component of the Hydro-Sherbrooke network, with an installed capacity of 3.7 MW. Made up of two powerhouses, a nine-gate spillway and several related structures, the complex ensures energy production and water level control. The modernization of this structure is part of an initiative to enhance its reliability and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Artelia was commissioned to draw up the plans and specifications and supervise the refurbishment work on the water intakes and related dam components. The mandate also included support during the call for tenders, management of authorization applications to the relevant ministries, and ongoing site supervision throughout the two-year project. These interventions ensure the durability of this infrastructure, while optimizing its management and performance.
