New police station in Lévis

A multifunctional building for greater accessibility to justice services.

Lévis’s two existing police stations and municipal court facilities had become obsolete, so a new multifunctional building was built to bring together the city’s justice services, including the municipal court and legal services. The five-storey building, two of which are underground, includes adapted workspaces for 250 employees, underground parking and several rooms and cells. The building is easily accessible, close to the city’s main roads, well served by public transport, and close to the bicycle network.

For this project, our Building Science experts implemented the various components to optimize the performance and durability of the building envelope. The main challenge was to ensure the durability of the new under-slab waterproofing work, given the depth of the excavations and the high water table. Our experienced team made it possible to reduce the number of interventions, optimize work methods and communication links with all stakeholders, and ensure consistency in the services rendered.
