Six of our colleagues joined forces to take part in the Relais Desjardins du Lac Memphrémagog relay race in aid of the Christian Vachon Foundation, which supports youth educational retention. With boundless energy and team spirit, they enthusiastically took turns running a total of 110 kilometers!

The race started at 6:30 a.m. in Magog (which was early, as Michaël pointed out!) and our colleagues completed the course in 10 hours and 47 minutes, tackling more than 1,950 meters of elevation gain, the main challenge of the day. The event brought together 232 teams, and Artelia’s team, made up of Karine Minguy, Michaël Desrochers, Alexis Lahiani, Romain Dalleu, Jason Cline, and Justine Sirois, finished in 188th place, but undoubtedly in the top 10 most motivated!

Throughout the day, the six team members took turns completing the different sections of the course. While one ran, the others followed in the car, ready to take the next relay. Together, they stood out for their energy and enthusiasm, encouraging the other runners with their horns and lively music.

The weather was ideal, with the fall colors at their peak in the Eastern Townships, offering spectacular scenery at every turn. Several colleagues from the Sherbrooke office came out to cheer on the team along the course, adding a nice dose of motivation. Our runners ended this memorable day with a well-deserved beer and a friendly dinner at Siboire Jacques-Cartier in Sherbrooke, where the stairs reminded everyone that their legs had worked much too hard!

The goal of the event was to raise $650,000 for the Christian Vachon Foundation. Thanks to the participants’ efforts, this amount was exceeded, reaching a total of $685,238.

Congratulations to our team for their great performance and contagious energy!
