Autoroute 35 is a highway located in the Montérégie region, designed to facilitate trade between Canada and the United States. The last section to be built specifically connects the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu with the U.S. border in the state of Vermont. This 23-km stretch of rural highway includes the construction of two two-lane carriageways, two interchanges, overpasses and modern road infrastructure. In addition to improving the flow of traffic in the region, mainly transport trucks, the project also incorporated measures to protect the environment, notably by stabilizing embankments, managing watercourses and protecting farmland.
Artelia was commissioned to design the entire infrastructure, covering earthworks, roadway construction, drainage network modifications and relocation of services. The team was responsible for coordinating the works, paying particular attention to traffic management during construction and environmental protection. From the preliminary design phase to technical assistance during construction, each stage was expertly managed to guarantee the sustainability and safety of the infrastructure.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
