The 125MW/500MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Ontario is one of the largest of its kind in Canada. It aims to reinforce the stability of the electricity grid while maximizing the integration of renewable energies such as solar and wind power. By storing excess energy for redistribution during peaks in demand or periods of low production, this project will mobilize 120 containers of batteries to increase the efficiency and resilience of the energy grid.
Artelia has been commissioned to provide engineering services for this innovative project. Our teams will handle electrical, structural and foundation engineering, SCADA and control configuration, and project management. We will develop plans for the electrical installations, substation, underground cable system and BESS infrastructure. Our expertise in energy storage solutions confirms our commitment to sustainable and resilient energy systems.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
