Some thirty of our colleagues took part in the 59th AQTr Congress, the largest transportation industry event in Quebec, held from March 17 to 19 at the Quebec City Convention Centre. As a major partner of the event, Artelia benefited from increased visibility. The participation of our experts, Andrei Durlut and Guillaume Lefebvre, who led a panel discussion and a conference, and the presentation of our booth in the exhibitors’ lounge also enabled us to shine.
Under the theme “Intermodalité augmentée, vers des infrastructures innovantes”, the event kicked off with a luncheon presented by Artelia as the main sponsor. Martin Imbeau’s enthusiastic address focused on the Alto high-speed rail project, linking Quebec City to Toronto. He explained how this ambitious project will transform travel in the country’s most important economic and demographic corridor.
The following day, our TMI Director, Andrei Durlut, took part in a dynamic panel discussion organized by PIARC-Québec on the theme of “Innovations in road safety”. Experts discussed the implementation of Vision Zero and safe systems, focusing on the impact of human behavior in the face of technological change. They also explored the role of artificial intelligence, intelligent corridors and automated vehicles in accident prevention, as well as the challenges of vehicle connectivity.
On the final day of the conference, Guillaume Lefebvre, Department Manager, Urban Infrastructures, presented a lecture in collaboration with the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal (AMD) on the theme of “Ecoresponsible parking – Mobility hub and infrastructure resilience”. The conference highlighted our expertise in eco-responsible parking, presenting the successes and challenges of the progressive transformation of AMD parking spaces into eco-responsible spaces, stemming from the framework agreement obtained by Artelia in 2021 and renewed in 2024.
During the event, several of our colleagues also took turns representing us in the exhibitors’ lounge, behind our flamboyant booth in Artelia’s colors, where they met many attendees curious to learn more about our projects and fields of activity.
Thank you to all our representatives, who helped to raise Artelia’s profile and strengthen ties with other transport industry enthusiasts.
Driven by our values of technical excellence, proximity to clients and entrepreneurial spirit, we are more than ever determined to be a company that is useful to the world and to people, and that contributes to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
