Our water treatment experts have been commissioned to carry out the preliminary study and additional studies for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in La Prairie. This multidisciplinary project will draw on the expertise of several of our teams to lay the foundations for a modern, sustainable infrastructure that is tailored to the realities of the region.

Currently, wastewater in La Prairie is treated by the Régie d’assainissement des eaux du bassin de La Prairie (RAEBL) wastewater treatment plant. However, as part of efforts to increase the housing supply in the area, a significant population increase is anticipated in the coming years. To ensure adequate wastewater management, the City of La Prairie will build a new wastewater treatment plant. This new plant will treat all of La Prairie’s wastewater. To do so, the City of La Prairie has called on our expertise to get the project off the ground.

A major two-stage study

This large-scale study will be carried out in two stages. The preliminary study includes data extraction, plan validation, equipment audit, connection scenario evaluation, discharge requirement definition, risk management, subsidy analysis, automation study, value analysis, and topographic survey. Subsequent complementary studies will include environmental characterization, an ecological study, geotechnical support, treatment chain modeling, and landscape architecture.

This new collaboration strengthens our position as a leader in Quebec in the treatment of wastewater by mechanized plants and demonstrates our commitment to actively supporting municipalities in their sanitation projects.
