Our experts help ensure quality drinking water for Chute-aux-Outardes residents

The Municipality of Chute-aux-Outardes in Manicouagan commissioned our Water Treatment team to build a new drinking water treatment and distribution plant to serve the communities of Chute-aux-Outardes and Ragueneau.

The existing drinking water production facilities serving Chute-aux-Outardes and Ragueneau use a raw water intake from Hydro-Québec’s Outardes-2 power station reservoir. They also include a booster and chlorination station for distribution of treated water. The current volume of the underground reservoir does not meet fire protection requirements. To comply with regulations, the Municipality of Chute-aux-Outardes decided to build a new plant.

Coordination meetings will be held with the other disciplines involved, as well as with the architect appointed by the Municipality. Indeed, under the leadership of our experts in the Water Treatment Department, specialists in Structure, Mechanics, Electricity, Automation and Control, as well as Civil Engineering, will be involved in this project.  These meetings will be well documented to ensure that all important information is recorded in the file and that there are no ambiguities throughout the mandate.

The award of this new contract confirms our leadership in the field of drinking water treatment.
